Introduced by Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm, Lemon Snap traces its lineage to (H. ‘Smiley Face’ × H. ‘Beet Salad’) crossed with (H. ‘Peacock Strut’ × H. ‘Beet Salad’) — a pedigree rich in color. Its red petioles, dark scapes, and luminous yellow leaves embody Solberg’s masterful use of pigment and form.
 
While Dutch-grown versions of Lemon Snap have circulated in recent years, collectors should know these are often produced under looser health standards, with the European Union permitting up to 17% HVX infection in exports.
